~Story Time~

Lightningpaw was chatting with Brightkit by the fresh kill pile.

"Did you know, the gatherings tonight?" Brightkit asked.

"No? Really? I wish I could go... I would show all the clans my face so they would have to respect me!" Lightningpaw said excitedly.

Brightkit giggled at her older friends enthusiasm as Wildsun walked up to the young cats.

"Lightningpaw, may I have a word?" Wildsun asked, whiskers twitching in happiness.

"Sure?" Lightningpaw said suspiciously before getting up and following Wildsun.

"YOU'RE GOING TO THE GATHERING!" Wildsun squealed.

Lightningpaw flinched at the pitch of his voice but was extremely excited when she noticed what he said.

"Really?" she asked.

"Sure! I told Slitherdream about your first battle training all those sunrises ago and he said you could go to the next gathering! Which is tonight! So you need to get some sleep!"Wildsun rushed.

"Sleep?" Lightningpaw asked.

"Yes! You have to be awake right?" he joked.

Lightningpaw nodded and went back to the apprentices den.

She laid down and slowly went to sleep.

-Dream-

She was in the same hazy clearing she's been in for sunrises since that first dream.

There was the yellow figure far away in the mist again.

She tried walking to it, but her paws wouldn't move no matter how hard she tried.

"Lightningpaw... Lightningpaw... you need to wake up..." the figure said.

-End of Dream-

"Lightningpaw sweetie wake up!" Sunwhisper cooed to her daughter.

"Mother?" Lightningpaw yawned.

"Yes! The gathering party is about to leave so you need to get a move on." Sunwhisper said strictly.

Lightningpaw grunted and got up. She walked up to the group of cats leaving that was lead by Slitherdream and Cloudsoul. Lightningpaw was about too follow when she heard tiny paw steps from behind. She turned around and saw Brightkit coming to her.

Brightkit looked her in the eye and said jokingly "You better tell me what happened."

Lightningpaw laughed and nodded before scampering off after the already disappearing cats.

She was getting tired but wasn't going to tell the warriors around her.

She was soon in front of many cats and a giant rock.

"Woah..." she breathed.

Wildsun walked up to her and said, "That's Towering Rocks. Would you like to come with me and meet my friends?"

"No thanks." LIghtningpaw said shaking her head.

Lightningpaw walked around aimlessly before bumping into someone.

"Oh! Im sorry!" Lightningpaw exclaimed to the young white tom.

"Its okay. Nice to meet you, my name is Skypaw. Have you seen a brown tom by the name of Oakpaw, he's kind of shy." Skypaw said.

"No Im sorry Skypaw, I haven't. My name is Lightningpaw and I would be glad to help you search for your friend though!" Lightningpaw said eagerly.

"Alright! Thanks! He's in Eclipseclan, so he should be here. By the way, what clan are you from?" Skypaw asked.

"Im from Novaclan. What clan are you from?" Lightningpaw replied.

"Solarclan. Ah! There he is!" he said while pointing his tail to a small group of cats.

Both Lightningpaw and Skypaw walked up to the group of cats. One was a big brown tom apprentice, another was a ginger with white paws and tails she cat and the last was a light gray she cat with blue ears, paws, and tail.

"Hi! Im Lightningpaw and this is Skypaw, are you Oakpaw?" Lightningpaw said cheerily.

"Err... yeah. Hi Skypaw..." Oakpaw said while fumbling over his paws.

"Hi Oakpaw, its nice to see you again. But who are you two?" Skypaw asked while pointing to the two she cats.

"Im Crystalpaw and this is Summerpaw and we are from Lunarclan." Crystalpaw said.

"Like I said, Im Lightningpaw and Im from Novaclan." Lightningpaw laughed.

"Im Skypaw from Solarclan." Skypaw smiled.

"And Im Oakpaw... from Eclipseclan..." Oakpaw said shyly.

A yowl was heard and all apprentices looked up. The cats were already departing! What happened?

"I guess we were too busy talking and didn't hear the gathering." Skypaw said thoughtfully before saying good bye.

All the other apprentices said their farewells as Lightningpaw went up to her mentor and whispered, "What happened?"
